Uma and Mal do NOT get along, that’s for sure! A brand-new ‘Descendants 2’ sneak peek aired on May 19, giving us a glimpse at their fierce rivalry. Are you Team Mal or Team Uma? Watch now and decide!
Mal (Dove Cameron) makes her way back over to the Isle of the Lost and finds Uma (China Anne McClain) in control. Uma’s ready to make a deal with Mal in this Descendants 2 sneak peek, and she’s using Ben (Mitchell Hope) to get what she wants. These two fierce ladies go head-to-head in an arm wrestling match to find out who’s going to win this battle in their ongoing war. “If you win, Ben is free to go,” Uma tells Mal, who’s pretty certain she’ll win anything that pits her against Uma. Much like her mother, Ursula, Uma is sassy and sarcastic to the max and knows just how to taunt her nemesis.
They go at it in the ultimate arm wrestling fight, and Uma continues to get under Mal’s skin. “You know, that whole princess act? Ugh, I never bought it for a second,” Uma says to Mal. “You could stick a tiara on a villain, but you’re still a villain.” Mal snaps back, “And you can smack a pirate hat on, but you’re still shrimpy.”
Uma doesn’t take to that dig too well. But she manages to get the upper hand and beats Mal! Now Mal has to bring Uma the Fairy Godmother’s magic wand or Ben will suffer. Descendants 2, which also stars Sofia Carson, 24, Cameron Boyce, 17, and Booboo Stewart, 23, will premiere Friday, July 21, on 5 different networks: Disney Channel, ABC, Disney XD, Freeform, and Lifetime.
