An eyewitness shared the absolute horror she witnessed when a man drove his speeding car into a bunch of pedestrians in Times Square, and HollywoodLife.com has her EXCLUSIVE story to share with you.
Kaoru Emura was watching when Richard Rojas, 26, allegedly mowed down 23 people in the heart of New York City. The horrific crash took place in Times Square, Richard allegedly drove up onto a 7th Avenue sidewalk and “barreled” through the unsuspecting New Yorkers and tourists taking in the sights on Thursday, May 18. When HollywoodLife.com spoke EXCLUSIVELY with eyewitness Kaoru, she shared that she saw at least five people on the hood of the driver’s car who were “flying off” as he continued at a “high speed”.
The driver made “no attempt to stop,” according to our eyewitness’ EXCLUSIVE report. Thankfully our eyewitness was not injured in this terrifying ordeal, but multiple reports claim up to 22 others were injured while one victim, a female, was killed. The suspect, Richard, was taken into custody almost immediately after the accident occurred, and video shows multiple NYPD officers escorting him into the back of a police car. In the video, Richard appears to be slumped over, which could be an attempt to hide his face from the multiple bystanders who were filming him. You can watch the video below:
