This is the best #ThrowbackThursday surprise ever! Years and years after Lil Wayne and T-Pain recorded a number of tracks together, they’ve finally been released. But it’s not for any sort of special reason — T-Pain just wanted to get the songs off of his hard drive. “This ain’t for y’all new n**gas,” T-Pain wrote on Twitter on May 17. “These the lost files from ’09 and I’m tired of em just sittin on my hard drive. #FreeC5.”
T-Wayne was actually recorded in 2009, but it was never released until now. And fans are now freaking on Twitter. Overall, reviews are super positive, so that’s good, but why would we expect anything less? This type of collaborative album is rare to come by. To listen to all eight tracks, click below!
“Holly crap, ‘snap ya fingas’ from the #TWayne album was from limewire days man!! That’s a fossil!!” one Twitter wrote, while another said, “They really sampled the Willy wonka beat and turned that boy to anthem .. #Twayne.” Another fan tweeted, “Hold up, TPAIN GOT BARS!!!???? #TWayne “Listen To Me” hahaha!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥.” To see more pics of Lil Wayne, click here!
