Love & Hip Hop: New York star Tahiry Jose, 38, had a less than ideal birthday on May 5, getting arrested on charges of assault after allegedly beating and scratching one of her friends. Tahiry allegedly punched the woman, who was staying in her New Jersey home, in the face and pulled her hair. The woman had “reddish bruises” on the right side of her face, according to the police report.

But Tahiry swears up and down that she was the victim — not the woman. She told TMZ that she was only defending herself; she went home and the woman allegedly jumped her and started breaking stuff in the house. Whoa! Tahiry was released from jail the next day, May 6, and said that she plans on pressing charges against the roommate!
