Remember how scary the clown in ‘Freak Show’ was? Well get ready for that… with a political twist. ‘American Horror Story’ creator Ryan Murphy just posted his first ‘tease’ of season seven.
On May 5, Ryan Murphy started a new Instagram account and his latest photo is the first look at season seven — and it’s horrifying. It’s also political and while no, it’s not a photo of President Donald Trump himself, it is of an elephant, the sign for the Republican party, with a clown-like red smile.
All we really know about season seven of American Horror Story is the political theme and that Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson are both set to return, as are new comers Billie Lourde and Billy Eichner. We do know that while the season will be inspired by the 2016 election, the president will not show up in it.
“You will not see [Donald] Trump and [Hillary] Clinton as characters on the show,” Ryan said at the Publicists Guild Awards Luncheon in Los Angeles on Feb. 24. “The themes of American Horror Story have always been allegories. He also added that he revealed the theme while on Watch What Happens Live! with Andy Cohen after drinking three martinis. “Now as I look over at Sarah Paulson, I think of Kellyanne Conway. I don’t know! I might be rewriting!” Yes, please!
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of the first photo?
