Hollywood came out in force for the People’s Climate March on Apr. 29 and Leonardo DiCaprio led the protest! See how stars like Jane Fonda, Jared Leto, and more rocked the demonstration shared their love for the marchers!
Stars and citizens alike flocked to the streets to prove to President Donald Trump, 70, how much they love and care for the environment at the People’s Climate March on Apr. 29. Leonardo DiCaprio, 42, walked at the front of the protest and shared a super powerful message on his Instagram. “Today, we march to keep fossil fuels in the ground, to fight for a transition to 100% clean energy by 2050, for climate justice and so much more. Join me in standing with Indigenous leaders and native peoples as we march together to protect our planet,” he wrote.
More celebrities praised the march. Jane Fonda, 79, kept it simple, but profound with her tweet, “We march for many reasons – but we march together.” She shared more in an impassioned blog post about why she was marching. “We will mark this 100th day by showing that we continue to resist an agenda that disrespects and attacks our planet and our people,” she wrote. Mark Ruffalo, 49, got vocal too and said, “We can chart a path away from Trump’s agenda and towards a 100% #cleanenergy economy. Proud to be supporting the #ClimateMarch w/ @100isnow.”

The People’s Climate March protested the President’s policies that have the potential to harm the environment. The EPA recently removed the climate change portion of its’ website. The move alarmed a lot of people as it “page is being updated” to “eflect EPA’s priorities under the leadership of President Trump and Administrator [Scott] Pruitt.”
