Bill O’Reilly, 67, was fired on April 19, as parent company 21st Century Fox confirmed, and celebs are rejoicing over it! “A WIN for Women & the Men who Respect them,” Actor Debra Messing, 48, tweeted. “Fox firing Bill O’Reilly is huge and hopefully sends an effective signal to all guys, however powerful, who harass & maul women,” Mia Farrow, 72, echoed. Comedian Billy Eichner, 38, pointed out that between Bill O’Reilly, Bill Cosby and Billy Bush, there are now very few good Billys left on television. “Goodbye @oreillyfactor! What a terrible day to be a horrible, old, racist white person…I’m certainly a narcissistic actor who loves attention but I take no joy in Bill O’Reilly. He’s a disgusting pig & Fox News is still garbage,” he added.

News broke On April 1 that the former talk show host reportedly settled with five women who “had complained about sexual harassment or other inappropriate behavior by him,” according to the New York Times. No, it was not an April Fool’s joke, and the settlements reportedly totaled $13 million.
Following a few more weeks of backlash, his official firing made headlines on April 19. “After a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the company and Bill O’Reilly have agreed that Bill O’Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel,” 21st Century Fox said in an official statement. Bill started at Fox News in 1996, and his departure will leave a big hole in the lineup, as he was the top-rated cable news host. So long, O’Reilly Factor.
