‘Pretty Little Liars’ is coming to an end, whether we like it or not. HollywoodLife.com chatted EXCLUSIVELY with showrunner Marlene King at the series wrap party, and she revealed scoop on the series finale, the final scene with the Liars, and more!
The Pretty Little Liars season 7B premieres April 18, and there are 10 episodes left of the beloved Freeform series. However, everyone is wondering how it’s all going to end. HollywoodLife.com talked with Marlene King EXCLUSIVELY at the PLL series wrap party last year about the final episodes, and you need to start bracing yourselves now.
“It’s very big,” Marlene told us. “It’s very twisted. There’s a lot of surprises, a lot of answers, a lot of revelations. I think it’s everything we’ve tried to do wrapped up into 10 episodes, and then wrapped up into that final 2-hour episode.”
PLL fans have been anxious for scoop on the final episode, and Marlene has been more than happy to oblige. She has teased a lot of lines from the series finale on social, so we asked if she could tell us what the final words are. Naturally, she couldn’t say, but she did spill this: “I think people are going to be really thrilled to hear those words.”
Will all the Liars be in the final scene of the show? That’s another big questions fans have.
“I can’t say, but there is a final goodbye scene that they’re in because one of them is leaving for a little bit,” she told us. “It was a really emotional scene for them to say goodbye to each other’s characters in the show, and it was the first time in my life as a director where I had to say, ‘Less emotion please. Less emotion!'”
Pretty Little Liars airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Freeform.
