Erin Andrews rocked this gorgeous updo on the April 17 episode of ‘DWTS.’ This look is perfect for prom, a wedding, or any other formal event you have this summer — get expert tips on the style below!
Hairstylist Ryan Randall explained the look that he created for Dancing With The Stars‘ Disney night, which aired on April 17.
“The most magical night in the ballroom…Disney night! When I saw [Erin Andrew‘s] dress, I knew we wanted to do something up, full of texture and whimsy.”
It was SO gorgeous!
Here’s how to get the exact look!
“I started by blowing her hair out, using my Dyson dryer and Oribe Maximista. I then curled her whole head in loose waves with my Harry Josh Pro Tools marcel iron and used R+Co Grid for hold and heat protection.
Then, using my fingers, I gathered her hair back and low to form a messy ponytail. I added Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray and Swept Up Volume Powder for added grit and texture. I then divided the pony into four sections, and twisted and pinned them up into a messy, knotty bun. To ensure the finished style didn’t look overworked, I went back and pulled out some pieces around the face and made sure there was plenty of texture.I finished it off with a hit of glamour courtesy of Lelet NY. A pearl and Swarovski bobby pin hidden amongst the twists. I locked it all in with R+Co Outerspace Hairspray and we were ready for the magic!”
If you have short or fine hair, you can get extra volume and length with extensions, like these from Glam Seamless.
The updo looked so pretty against her light blue Naeem Khan dress! This updo works for any semi-formal or formal occasion like prom, and is totally easy to do yourself!
