In the year before Aaron Rodgers and Olivia Munn’s split, the couple was at the center of major public drama — and it’s all because of their falling out with his family. Could this have had something to do with the breakup!?
Olivia Munn, 26, and Aaron Rodgers, 33, ended their relationship after three years together, People reported on April 7. The reason for the split has not been revealed, but we can’t help but wonder if their strained relationship with his family, including brother, Jordan Rodgers, played a part.
When Jordan went on The Bachelorette in 2016, he obviously had to tell JoJo Fletcher about his family, and admitted that he, along with his mom, dad, and brother, Luke, didn’t have a relationship with the famous quarterback. They didn’t go into too much detail about the fallout on camera, but Aaron was noticeably missing when Jordan took JoJo to his hometown, and fans have been wondering what the deal is ever since.
There’s been major speculation that Olivia is to blame for Aaron’s feud with his family, especially after the Packers star’s father told the New York Times in January that “fame can change things.” Drama between the Rodgers’ and Olivia seemed to heat up after that, and she took it public by posting a questionable message to Instagram after the Packers’ playoff loss.
“So proud of this team,” the actress gushed. “They faced a lot of adversity on and off the field, but battled this far. Thank you to those of you who encouraged and supported them by choosing to put out only *positive* energy. It helped them get this far.” The mention of ‘adversity’ and the highlight of the word ‘positive’ certainly had fans speculating that this was a direct jab at Aaron’s family, and Olivia took things a step further by ‘liking’ a number of comments dissing Jordan and the rest of the clan.
This whole time, Aaron has very clearly stood by his girl — during Jordan’s season of The Bachelorette, he even told a Milwaukee TV station, “I’ve always found that it’s a little inappropriate to talk publicly about some family matters, so I’m just not going to speak on those things.” Could he finally have had enough, though!?
HollywoodLifers, do you think Aaron’s family drama had anything to do with the split?
