Iggy Azalea twerked 15 pounds right off! The rapper explained how she lost the weight while filming ‘Mo Bounce’ and you can learn her training secrets here!
Iggy Azalea made her comeback in a major way with her “Mo Bounce” music video on Mar. 24. The 26 year-old revealed during a radio interview with New Zealand’s Nova 96.9’s Fitzy and Wippa that she lost 15 pounds twerking in preparation of the video! “I did a lot of rehearsals actually, and man I lost 15 pounds in a week dancing to that song,” she said.
She explained how she went to such great lengths in the name of twerking. “It’s a lot — I went on a meal plan before the video because I knew I would have to be dancing fairly skimpily dressed,” she told the station. Iggy even had help from a twerking expert. “I did take classes. I do have someone who is very, very good at twerking, and she helped me,” she said. Iggy was surprised by how much work it took to become a master twerker. “I never realized how flexible you have to be to do that stuff,” she explained. “My teacher was like ‘I really suggest you take yoga’ and I didn’t know you had to take yoga to be a twerker but apparently you do.” Namaste!
Her twerk-filled music video used Hong Kong as the setting with its’ incredible neon city skyline. Iggy shook it out with a whole bunch of dancers behind her and a fleet of luxury cars. She wore sexy t-shirt and super tight jeans before she flaunted every inch of her curves in a bodysuit. “Mo Bounce” was the second single off her upcoming album Digital Distortion. She released her first single “Can’t Lose” featuring Lil Uzi Vert.
