Who’s ready for more famous kids and their juicy drama? Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta is the newly-announced spinoff of Growing Up Hip Hop, a show that’s set to chronicle what life’s like when you’re part of a hip hop dynasty — whether you’re born into it, or welcomed into the flock when you’re young.
Atlanta’s been called “hip hop’s center of gravity,” so there’s no better place to set the new show; the artists who work and reside there are close enough to each other already, much like family. “But like any family, Atlanta’s next generation of hip hop stars do not always get along,” promos for the show state. “Growing up together in the shadow of their legendary parents has established tight bonds and bitter rivalries, as everybody fights for their chance to push their way into the spotlight.”
Sounds awesome! The trailer for Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta introduces us to who we’re going to see when the show starts this spring. There’s Lil Wayne‘s daughter, Reginae Carter, Jermaine Dupri‘s daughter, Shaniah Mauldin, DJ Hurricane‘s daughter, Ayana Fite, Waka Flocka‘s brother Brandon Barnes, and T.I. and Tiny‘s daughter, Zonnique Pullins. Bow Wow is also featured on the show as the protege of Snoop Dogg.
“This is where you bring your A game. And this is where you bring your Talent to the next level. And this is where you build your own Legacy,” the kids say in the trailer. Get it? ATL. Clever, right?
