Michael Scofield, you have some explaining to do. The first 5 minutes of the ‘Prison Break’ revival have been released, and they are INTENSE. Michael is alive, but his family has no idea. Watch now!
“Freedom has a price,” Michael (Wentworth Miller) says in the voiceover. “I died 7 years ago. Left behind a brother, a wife, a son. But the dead talk, if you listen. They’re there with you, reaching out, trying to tell you something because not all deaths are the same. Some are real, some are a story. Question is, do you believe the story? Was the man who died who you thought he was. The dead talk, if you listen.”
Michael is alive after being presumed dead for 7 years. Everyone believes he died in the prison explosion at the end of the special movie, Prison Break: The Final Break, which aired in 2009. What has he been up to since then? Who helped him fake his death? We have so many questions!
Elsewhere in the first 5 minutes, T-Bag (Robert Knepper) is released from prison. Yep, he’s truly a free man now! Meanwhile, Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) is on the run in Chicago. He hasn’t paid some of his debts. Oh, Lincoln. Get it together. The mystery guys in the first 5 minutes threaten to “open him up” if they don’t get that they’re asking for from him. Lincoln, what did you do?
When Lincoln runs back to his house, he encounters a very familiar face — T-Bag! “Fate has deigned to join us at the hip once again, despite our mutual contempt,” T-Bag says to Lincoln. He hands Lincoln an envelope. When Lincoln opens it, he can’t believe what he sees. It’s a picture of Michael!
Michael is alive! But how? We’re just going to have to wait and see how it all plays out when the 9-part Prison Break revival series premieres April 4 on FOX at 9 p.m. ET.
