Tom Brady’s beloved Super Bowl jerseys are finally back in the hands of their rightful owner, and he couldn’t be happier! Watch the emotional moment when Patriots owner Robert Kraft hands over the sentimental game shirts, here.
Tom Brady, 39, finally has his game-worn Super Bowl jerseys back! Just minutes after beating the Atlanta Falcons in the 2017 Super Bowl in Feb., someone ran off with the shirt Tom wore during the game. Though he didn’t think he would ever see it (or another jersey stolen from a past Super Bowl) again, the shirts were both returned to him on April 3!
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft had the honor of returning the sentimental items, saying “in the locker room, you said ‘hey it’s missing’ and I said ‘well we better check the internet.’ Thanks to our good friends’ cooperation, here it is!” Tom was absolutely glowing, saying “that’s awesome!”
“Look at the grass stains,” said Robert, seemingly pointing out the shirt’s authenticity. “It took an international trip,” he laughed. Of course, Robert is joking about how the shirts were allegedly found in Mexico, in the possession of a news director with locker room access named Mauricio Ortega, who apparently stole not one but two game shirts, and Von Miller’s helmet from Super Bowl 50. Yikes! We’re guessing that guy won’t be invited to any more NFL games.
The items were recovered by police in the reporter’s house in Mexico. Thankfully they weren’t sold on the black market and lost forever. Now Tom can enjoy the two shirts which he worked so hard for, and HollywoodLife.com also learned remind him of his beloved mother. Congrats, Tommy!
