Donald isn’t the only Trump that people are marching against. Hundreds of LGBTQ activists swarmed Ivanka Trump’s home in Washington, D.C. on April 1, holding a rowdy ‘Queer Dance Party for Climate Justice’ to protest her inaction on climate and queer issues. Here’s what went down!
LGBTQ protesters marched to Ivanka Trump‘s luxe home in Washington, D.C., but the gathering was no April Fool’s Day celebration — they were participating in a “climate justice dance party,” as organizers told various media outlets. You can see a pic from the protest above!

“We can’t let Ivanka, 35, trick our communities into supporting and legitimizing her. We will show up to her home because the bad decisions of the Trump administration hit us in our daily lives, in our homes, and the nature we surround ourselves with,” co-organizer Carla Aronsohn said. She also claimed that the First Daughter has been “green and pink washing our climate and queer family” and said that if Ivanka “isn’t gaslighting us, then she should come into the streets and work it!”
Local police have said there’s not yet any info on whether arrests have been made, and the exact turnout isn’t known, but many of Ivanka’s neighbors were furious at the noise and got into verbal altercations with some of the protestors, as multiple outlets report. “It has been a three-ring circus from the day that they’ve moved in,” Marietta Robinson (who lives across from Ivanka) told the Associated Press. “They’ve completely ruined the neighborhood,” she added. Yeah, and the entire country, depending on who you ask.
Unfortunately, Ivanka wasn’t even inside her $5.5 million home in the exclusive Kalorama community at the time. She was spotted in New York City on March 31 along with her family, and hasn’t been spotted in D.C. since. Well, the protestors got their point across anyhow!
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of this demonstration against Ivanka?
