This is it! The Oklahoma City Thunder only have one more chance to beat the Golden State Warriors in the regular 2017 NBA Season. Expect OKC to go all-out when they face the Dubs on March 20. Tip off is around 8:00 PM ET so don’t miss it!
Really, this may be the last chance the Oklahoma City Thunder want to prove they can hang with the Golden State Warriors. It’s not guaranteed that these two will meet again in the NBA playoffs, so if the Thunder wants to send a message that they’re on par with the best team in the league, they better light up the Chesapeake Energy Arena in scenic Oklahoma City.
The Dubs have blown out the Thunder in the past three meetings, beating them 122-96, 121-100, and 130-114. Though, the Warriors haven’t been completely unbeatable this season, even going on an uncharacteristic 3-game losing streak since their last victory over the Thunder. It’s quite possible that Russell Westbrook, 28, pulls off not just his 35th Triple Double of a season but a rare win over Kevin Durant, 28, and his new team.
The last time KD was in OKC, the welcome wasn’t the warmest reception. KD was reportedly “furious and bewildered” that the Thunder didn’t do more to acknowledge how he helped the franchise while he was there. However, Golden State coach Steve Kerr, 51, shot down the rumor that his team was upset with the Thunder.
“I don’t agree,” Steve said, per ESPN. “[Thunder General Manager] Sam Presti’s a friend of mine….it’s a class organization all the way. So I don’t really pay any attention to a story like that unless there’s an actual name that’s put on, so, I assume it’s just sources? Sources? So I don’t know who that is. It’s nobody with the Warriors. So, we have great respect for the Thunder. Sam’s been a friend of mine forever. They’re first class, so I don’t know where that comes from.”
Steph Curry, 28, also shot down the report, calling it “comical” before saying he can’t imagine what will happen next in the reported feud between the Warriors and Thunder. “I actually look forward to waking up and seeing what ridiculousness is posted,” he said.
Who do you think will win this game, HollywoodLifers? Do you think OKC will finally get a W over the Dubs?
