Chrissy Teigen is baring more than her emotional state in the April issue of ‘Glamour’ — she also revealed her bare face, wearing very minimal makeup on the cover of the magazine containing her honest and raw essay.
Chrissy Teigen is open and honest in a new essay in Glamour magazine‘s April issue, which was released on March 6.
She looks so pretty on the cover, wearing minimal makeup. Her lips and cheeks have a faint flush of pink and her eyes look wide and bright. Her hair was styled in loose waves, in a center part — very undone. The whole cover vibe is very much I woke up like this — and she looks flawless.
Chrissy spoke openly about her postpartum depression and anxiety: “I’m speaking up now because I want people to know it can happen to anybody and I don’t want people who have it to feel embarrassed or to feel alone. I also don’t want to pretend like I know everything about postpartum depression, because it can be different for everybody. But one thing I do know is that — for me — just merely being open about it helps.”
She continued: “I also just didn’t think it could happen to me. I have a great life. I have all the help I could need: John [Legend], my mother (who lives with us), a nanny. But postpartum does not discriminate. I couldn’t control it. And that’s part of the reason it took me so long to speak up: I felt selfish, icky, and weird saying aloud that I’m struggling. Sometimes I still do.”
We love that she was so brave about her struggles and know she will get through this difficult time.
