This is just terrible! Music icon Jerry Lee Lewis is suing his daughter and son-in-law for elder abuse after spending years trapped in a moldy house and the details are horrifying!
This is absolutely awful! Music legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Jerry Lee Lewis, 81, has filed court documents against his daughter Phoebe for elder abuse. The “Great Balls Of Fire” singer accuses his daughter and her husband Ezekiel Loftin of spending at least $5 million dollars of his money and keeping him in terrible conditions. Jerry claims Phoebe gave him drugs and kept him a moldy house, according to documents obtained by TMZ.
Phoebe reportedly managed Jerry’s career from 2000-2012 and kept him on “heavy cocktail of psychotropic drugs.” He even said he had to wear an oxygen mask because the mold was so bad where he was living. Isn’t that just terrible? The singer also accused his daughter of making him tour the country despite his poor health.
Jerry has already filed a lawsuit against Phoebe’s husband Ezekiel for spending at least $5 million on luxury cars, real estate and plastic surgery, according to TMZ. He just added Phoebe’s name to the suit as well. This is just so sad!
Jerry has an extremely talented musician and pianist, but his personal life was rather tumultuous. He married his seventh wife Judith Brown in 2012. Phoebe’s mother was Jerry’s third wife Myra Gale Brown. Their marriage caused quite a stir back in 1957 when it was revealed that Myra was not 20, as it said on the marriage certificate, but 13 and Jerry’s cousin.
Sadly this is not the only case of elder abuse in the courts right now concerning celebrities. Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine Jackson, 86, has filed a claim against her nephew Trent Lamar Jackson for keeping her estranged from her family. She even claims he installed surveillance equipment in order to watch her!
