Karlie Kloss could rock any look, but at the 2017 Oscars, she took the carpet wearing a very familiar white dress — it totally reminded us of Gwyneth Paltrow’s white Tom Ford dress from 2012. Which look do love more?
We can’t help but realize that Karlie Kloss’ Academy Awards look looks very familiar. The 24-year-old model strutted her stuff down the red carpet at the 89th annual Academy Awards in an all-white Stella McCartney gown with a cape, wearing accessories by Stuart Weitzman, Roger Vivier, Nirav Modi, and Karla Welch.
We can’t help but think it resembles the Tom Ford look that Gwyneth Paltrow wore to the 2012 Academy Awards, also a long white gown with a cape. Both women looked absolutely flawless, but did accessorize a little differently. While Karlie went with large diamond earrings and a large diamond choker, Gwyneth kept her jewels on her arm — a large cuff and huge ring. Both gowns had a cape included, but the neckline of Karlie’s was very high, while Gwyneth’s only covered on shoulder.
Of course Karlie also added a pop of color to her look with a blue pin. The ribbon is worn in support of the American Civil Liberties Union’s “Stand With ACLU” campaign, which launched earlier this week; the initiative is to protect “individual rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and law of the U.S.” — something Donald Trump is trying to take away with his immigration ban.
