He lives! The first official trailer for ‘Homeland’ season 6 was released on Dec. 16, teasing Peter Quinn’s highly-anticipated return. He’s alive, and Carrie isn’t letting him recover alone. Click to WATCH!
“Quinn?” Carrie says in the final moments of the Homeland trailer. “What happened to me?” Quinn asks Carrie. We don’t get to see Quinn in the trailer, but hearing his voice is enough to hold us over until the Jan. 15 premiere.
Showrunner Alex Gansa confirmed earlier in 2016 that Quinn survived the season 5 finale after his fate was left up in the air. Claire Danes has also said that the move to New York was made partly because Quinn is in therapy there. Quinn has yet to be seen in official season 6 footage, but we have seen Rupert Friend on set.
The trailer is full of tense moments. The show has moved from Berlin back to the United States, but there is no shortage of drama. The entire season will be over the course of 72 days, between the election and January 20.
The synopsis for season 6 of Homeland reads: “After she thwarted a terrorist attack in Berlin, season six picks up several months later and finds Carrie Mathison living in Brooklyn, New York. She has begun working at a foundation whose efforts are to provide aid to Muslims living in the U.S. Season six will tackle the after effects of the U.S. presidential election, with the entire season taking place between election day and the inauguration. It’s a strange, transitional time in the halls of government filled with anxiety and different competing interests, where a very fragile and complex transfer of power takes place between the outgoing president and the incoming president-elect.”
