“Together we have decided to separate while we reevaluate the future of our marriage,” the Flip of Flop couple told In Touch in a Dec. 12 statement, revealing that they had first been to marriage counseling after an incident back in May where Christina El Moussa called the police to their home in Orange County after Tarek El Moussa was spotted outside with a gun following a fight. “Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage [but] there was no violence and no charges were filed.” So, are they really done for good?
“Both of them are dating other people,” an insider close to the pair told In Touch. But, another friend of the couple told the magazine that, “There’s a chance of them getting back together,” saying their marriage problems stemmed from working hard to run a successful business together and filming together. But it seems that, for now at least, the couple is determined to work together on their business and show. “Right now they’re still kind of working together as business partners,” Iliana Battres, whose husband, Israel, is a close friend of Tarek’s and often appears on Flip or Flop, told In Touch. “They’re concentrating on the business and moving forward with it.” Iliana also said Flip or Flop is alive and well. “They’ll continue to do the show as long as it’s successful.”
