‘Chicago Fire’ fans, it’s time! The 100th episode airs TONIGHT, Dec. 6, and the milestone episode will feature a massive Dawsey moment. EPs Derek Haas and Michael Brandt tease a ‘major hurdle’ Dawson and Casey have to get over in an all-new interview.
Chicago Fire executive product Derek Haas reveals to our sister site TVLine that “the question of adopting [Louie] becomes the driving force of the episode.” However, not everything is going to go smoothly for Dawson and Casey. They’re faced with “a twist with regards to Louie… that is a major cliffhanger and a major hurdle that they’re going to have to get over,” Michael Brandt teases.
In the preview for the 100th episode, Casey admits to Dawson that he wants them to be Louie’s parents. “I want us to be mom and dad” to Louis, he says to Dawson. “I want that more than anything else in the world, she replies.
The synopsis for the 100th episode reads: “Lt. Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Dawson (Monica Raymund) apply for permanent adoption of Louie, but quickly discover a hurdle. Firefighter-turned-medical student Jeff Clarke (guest star Jeff Hephner) approaches Lt. Severide (Taylor Kinney) with an interesting proposition. With hopes of reinvigorating business at the bar, Otis convinces a skeptical Herrmann to throw a bash in celebration of the milestone 100th anniversary of Molly’s, but not without complications.”
Could this Dawsey “hurdle” be that they can’t permanently adopt Louie without getting married? Let’s hope so! Seriously, who wouldn’t be down for a Dawsey wedding? They love each other, he wants to be a dad to Louie, so what’s stopping them? The 100th episode of Chicago Fire airs Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
