Derek Carr and the sizzling Oakland Raiders look to keep their winning-streak going when they battle the Buffalo Bills on Dec. 4. With playoffs hopes on the line, can coach Rex Ryan lead the Bills to victory? Click to watch.
There’s no easy way to say this: the Buffalo Bills have a huge task ahead of them. The 6-5 team desperately needs a win (and at least one Miami Dolphins loss) if they want to stay in playoff contention. The problem is that their next opponents are the Oakland Raiders with their star quarterback, Derek, 25, lighting up the scoreboards as if he were throwing lightning bolts instead of pigskins. The 9-2 Raiders host the Bills on Dec. 4 and this showdown kicks off at 4:05 PM ET.

So, it’s really not looking good for Buffalo. The Bills haven’t won a game in Oakland in half a century. Their last victory came in 1966, according to Fox Sports, when the teams were battling for position in the AFL playoffs. That stat has many reeling, including the Bills coach. “Fifty years ago? Phew,” said Rex, 53. “That’s amazing. Woof. You talk about a drought.”
Well, it is California – the state’s known for its droughts (though, if there’s any year for droughts to end, it would be the year that saw the Chicago Cubs win the World Series) Along with the lack of water, California’s also known for its heat, and the Raiders have been setting fire to the competition. In fact, the Raiders are set to make the playoffs for the first time in 13 seasons
“We’re stacking up wins right now and we need to continue to do that,” Jack Del Rio, 53, Oakland’s coach, said ahead of the game. That may be easier said than done. After the Bills, the Raiders face one of the teams that actually beat them: the Kansas City Chiefs.
After that, it might be easier – they take on the San Diego Chargers (who they’ve beaten) the Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos. While two of those teams could give Oakland more pain than Derek felt when he dislocated his finger, it’s not hard to see the Raiders go 12-4 and make the post-season!
