OMG! Tomi Lahren visited ‘The Daily Show with Trevor Noah’ for a heated debate about politics, and Trevor totally shredded her! Check out their interview and see how the fans joined in here.
Yikes! The Blaze’s Tomi Lahren, 23, appeared on The Daily Show on Nov. 30, for a “friendly” conversation with host Trevor Noah, 34, about Donald Trump’s, 70, presidency, Black Lives Matter, and many more controversial topics, and things got pretty heated fairly quickly.
The discussion first started with Trevor asking the Facebook sensation why she always seems so angry, to which she replied, “Sometimes people just need to be called on their sh*t. You’re protesting a fair and free election, that to me says you need to be called on your sh– a bit. Time to clear the streets, time to move on, time to make America great again.” But it was far from over! “For somebody who is not racist, you have to spend a lot of time saying, ‘I’m not racist,” Trevor fired back.
As the conversation continued, Tomi explained her views about the Black Lives Matter Movement. While she stated that she thought the movement started with good intentions, she admitted that it’s taken a more malicious route. Although Tomi seemed to keep her composure, she couldn’t match up to Trevor, who schooled her about a number of the issues. “Do you really believe you’re not being mal-intentioned when you say things like Black Lives Matter is the new KKK?” Noah asked, calling out one of her most incendiary comments. “Because you realize Black Lives Matter can’t be the new KKK when the KKK is still around. They have not vacated their premises, and most importantly to say Black Lives Matter is the new KKK is to really minimize what the KKK did and what they stand for. That is not the same thing.”
Things continued to grow tense between the two as they talked about Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem protest and more subjects, but Tomi asserted the fact that she wasn’t as cruel as people think she is. “I wish that we could disagree with each other without thinking we are bad people or ill-intentioned folks,” she said. “Because I criticized a black person or the Black Lives Matter movement doesn’t mean I’m anti-black. It doesn’t mean I don’t like black people or that I’m racist.”
Fans who watched the 26-minute interview immediately took to Twitter to applaud Trevor on blasting the conservative. See some of the messages here:
Tomi’s Daily Show interview follows Trevor’s previous segment in Sept. 2016, in which he confessed that he had a “crush” on the video host. “We’re from two different worlds. It just wouldn’t work. I’m from Africa, you’re from heaven. But hey, we’ll always have Facebook,” he originally joked. Tomi then responded with a video of her own, inviting Trevor to come “Make America Great Again.” We doubt these two will be working together anytime soon though!
