It was a holiday miracle for Jon Gosselin when he FINALLY got to spend time with some of his 8 kids on Thanksgiving! But while Jon didn’t get them for the full day — and not all of his children even showed up — a new report claims the former reality star was ‘thrilled’ to get to spend even a little much-needed time with his kids. Take a look inside their holiday here!
Jon Gosselin, 39, truly had something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving! After all, the former star of Jon & Kate Plus 8 was reportedly treated to a visit from a few of his kids on the holiday — and apparently he couldn’t have been happier to finally have some time alone with them! After all, Jon’s ex-wife of seven years, Kate Gosselin, 41, has full custody of their eight children while Jon only has visitation.
“For the first time in years, he was able to have half of his kids with him for Thanksgiving for a couple of hours,” an insider revealed to InTouch magazine. “He was thrilled.” However, despite the happy occasion, the day definitely wasn’t drama-free. In fact, the publication’s source claims that Kate “was horrible about him wanting to be with his children… She asked him, ‘Why are you ruining our Thanksgiving?'” Yikes!
If Kate had it her way, she reportedly would continue denying Jon holiday visitation, but this year she apparently didn’t have a choice. Kate was allegedly ordered by a judge on Nov. 23 to let the children see their dad on Thanksgiving after the former couple’s attorneys battled it out in court.
“Jon has never had the kids for any holiday or any birthday or even Father’s Day,” the mag’s insider added. The dad is hoping that all changes soon though as he’s currently asking a judge for joint custody of twins Cara and Mady, 16, and sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel, and Leah, 12. And if gets his way, it may change everything!
“Jon hopes the judge will meet with all the kids privately in his chambers, without Kate, to find out [the truth] and what they really want,” the source continued. As for Kate and the kids’ TV show? Jon would immediately put an end to it if granted joint custody. “Jon has never felt the show has been healthy for the children,” the publication’s insider concluded. “He wants his kids to get their childhoods back.”
