The girls are back in town — and not just the ‘Gilmore Girls.’ Alexis Bledel stopped by ‘The Tonight Show’ and revealed that The WB show wasn’t the only project from her past she was working on; another ‘Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’ is in the works!

“We would all love to do it,” Alexis Bledel, 35, said during a visit to The Tonight Show on Nov. 28 when asked about getting all the girls back together. “I think it would be so much fun. We talk about it. I think we should absolutely do it. We’re working on it, so we’ll see if it happens.”

The original 2005 film starred Alexis, Amber Tamblyn, Blake Lively and America Ferrera as four best friends who find a pair of jeans that fit each of them, so they share them, along with stories from different journeys. It also got a sequel in 2008. This past January, the OG squad got back together, as documented on Instagram — so maybe they were working?

In 2015, America told People that the girls are “so proud” of the series and think it would “be wonderful to come back and do another one.” Blake echoed those thoughts in June, telling People“There’s a strong chance there might be a third. The four of us are still best friends. To be able to create something together again has always been a dream of ours.”

Naturally, Jimmy Fallon pitched his own idea for another film, starring an all-male cast: himself, Kevin Hart, Paul Rudd and Mark-Paul Gosselaar. Alexis obviously loved that idea.

He also joked that it could now be a horror film. “I seriously think you come out with a third one, you guys are all talking to each other, you’re older now, and you go, ‘Wait, who has the pants?’” he pitched. “Maybe someone’s kid is wearing the pants, maybe someone’s mom is wearing the pants. Maybe it’s been put on a scarecrow and turned into a horror movie.”

Either way, as long as those four girls are back together, we’re into it. HollywoodLifers, do you want to see another Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants?
