We’re not crying — YOU ARE! The highly-anticipated ‘Beaches’ is back! Starring Idina Menzel and Nia Long, check the first Lifetime remake trailer that’s sure to have you reaching for the tissue box. Grab your BFF and watch it after the jump!

The remake of Beaches is making its comeback in a big, big way. Often referred to as the grownup version of The Color Of Friendship, Beaches is a movie that’s all about girl power! The highly-anticipated film stars Nia Long, 46, best known for her role on the Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, and Frozen‘s Idina Menzel, 45. Yep, the chick who sings “Let It Go” and also gave John Travolta the confusion of his life at the 2014 Oscars. Remember when he totally botched her name on stage?

The Lifetime movie’s trailer opens in a similar style to the 1988 original (with Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey), with Hillary and CC posing together in a photo booth. Hillary and CC’s friendship has overcome years of quarrels, differences and long distance. Not to give anyway any spoilers, but CC becomes a charismatic, creative singer in New York, with a more serious Hillary pursuing her successful law degree in California. Their friendship is put to the ultimate test when they travel from coast to coast through the most disorderly times.

The remake trailer has mostly a positive spin to it, featuring the girls laughing and respectively chasing their dream careers, but at the very end, Hillary says, “CC, I’m really scared,” to which her bestie replies, “Hillary, we are not going to give up.” They hug, cry, and then the trailer dramatically ends, leaving us wanting more! Luckily, fans don’t have to wait much longer to watch the epic movie. Lifetime will air the Beaches remake on Jan. 21, so mark your calendars! #BeachesIsBack!
