Smooth move, Pat McAfee — but hmm, haven’t we seen that somewhere before? Yep, he took a page out of Conor McGregor’s book and strutted down the field after a 35-yard completion on a fake punt. WATCH!
Pat McAfee, 29, busted out the famed Conor McGregor Strut after a fake punt during the Colts-Steelers Thanksgiving Day game on Nov. 24, and it was epic. Check it out:
ICYMI, Punter Pat rolled to his right and threw a running pass deep downfield to Erik Swoope for a first down! Despite that small victory, though, the Pittsburgh Steelers crushed the Indianapolis Colts 28-7. Of course, the Colts were without quarterback Andrew Luck, who had a concussion and the excitement over the Colts’ 35-yard pass fizzled pretty quickly. Bummer!
Anyway, Pat had a good Thanksgiving, despite the loss. He posted a heartwarming message on Instagram, telling fans how grateful he is for his girlfriend and career. Take a look:
I'm thankful that I wake up every morning and enjoy whatever life has to offer that particular 24 hours..I'm thankful for my hilarious family who has picked up their shit & moved to Indy so we can conquer this world together as Hoosiers… I'm thankful for all of my different groups of friends.. my friends who have seen me grow from a full douchebag to a more successful less douchey dude from back in Pittsburgh.. my "we've learned a lot about the world and our livers" WVU crew.. my boys in Indy who make me feel like I'm one of their brothers even when I disappear for 6 months when the NFL is in season, and I can't forget about all of my friends I've met on my travels around the country.. I'm incredibly thankful for my beautiful lady.. She's funny, ridiculously beautiful, and keeps me in check.. we just click.. it feel's different than anything I've ever been a part of.. I'm lucky to wake up with her in my life.. I'm very thankful for the military badasses, both home and overseas, standing up to whatever/whoever that wants to try and mess with this incredible country of ours.. I'm thankful for football.. I didn't grow up dreaming of playing in the NFL.. I didn't think it was possible. I've been a fan my whole life but not 1 dream or vision was to be employed by the shield.. I didn't start kicking footballs until my Jr yr of high school..& that was only because shortly there before my dad & I found out I had a rocket launcher connected to my right hip.. Football has taken me around the globe, & made life much MUCH better for me and my family.. I have no idea how much longer I'll be kicking footballs for a living, but I'll be indebted to football forever, I'm very thankful for all it has done.. & last but not least.. it's a weird feeling to have "fans".. But I'm so so thankful for the folks who have become fans of mine.. the people who have made some of my dreams come true.. the folks who have spent hard earned money and bought my overpriced jersey.. sold out 13 straight theaters and 2 comedy clubs… the people who tweet me and say what's up to me on the street, thank you all so much for everything. Have a good one, cheers.
