Oh no! It looks like Kanye West might not be home for the Thanksgiving holiday because things are allegedly far worse for the rapper than initially believed. Keep reading for how his condition could keep him hospitalized for much longer than we thought.
Despite Kim Kardashian‘s best efforts to bring Kanye West, 39, home for the holiday after his emergency hospitalization Nov. 21, he could be kept at UCLA Medical Center for longer than his initial 72 hour psychiatric hold. According to TMZ, his alleged “problems go much deeper,” than the sleep deprivation and extreme dehydration that were the initial reasons he was taken in for care and observation. Their sources describe his mental state as “bad” and that he’ll likely remain in the facility through the end of the week. Poor Kanye!
Things are allegedly so dire for the “Fade” star right now that his insurance policy for the Saint Pablo tour will likely cover all of the costs for the 21 remaining dates he was forced to cancel. The site reports that under the plan, “lost profits and financial obligations for cancelled concerts due to illness” will kick in and cover the estimated $10 million that he would have made had the tour continued.
As we previously reported EXCLUSIVELY, “Kim has been working around the clock to get Kanye cleared to go home for holiday. She is doing everything in her power to get Kanye the right care that he needs so that he will not spend the holiday away from family and friends.” But from the sound of things, doctors think it’s best that he remain under observation at the hospital to make sure his mental condition has stabilized. He was brought in Nov. 21 after suffering an alleged meltdown at his trainer’s house following a chaotic several days that saw him go off on a wild concert rant against pals Beyonce and Jay Z, where he then cut the show short. By Nov. 20, his team announced they’d pulled the plug on his remaining tour dates.
HollywoodLifers, how long do you think Kanye will end up staying in the hospital?
