She’s back! America’s sweetheart Grace VanderWaal was the perfect selection to perform at the greatest piece of Americana, the 90th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The 12-year-old winner of America’s Got Talent got her biggest audience ever as she shined on the turkey day tradition, ukulele in hand while belting out her very own composition.
Grace looked absolutely adorable, with her trademark blonde bob cut perfectly in place. She wore a cozy gray coat with cute warm red earmuffs and matching fingerless gloves to keep her warm in the chilly NYC temps. Little kitty cat ears topped off her adorable look. The pre-teen belted out her best-known song, “I Don’t Know My Name,” which she showcased during her rise to fame on NBC’s talent competition.

After the brutal election season and so much negative feelings are still in the air, Grace was the perfect reminder of better and more hopeful times. Who can forget her epic rise to fame, standing alone on stage with just her little instrument and big voice as she won over America’s hearts by singing songs she wrote herself. That amount of talent, skill and confidence led AGT judge Simon Cowell to call her “The next Taylor Swift,” during her very first audition and boy did he nail it, as she went on to win the million dollar grand prize. Now with her appearance at the Macy’s Parade, she’s officially made it to the big time!
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of Grace’s performance at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? Were you glad to see her back? Or are you still bitter that she beat out The Clairvoyants?
