We’re getting down to the wire on Season 11 of ‘The Voice,’ and the contestants really have to bring it to stay on the show. Team Blake singer, Sundance Head, has a plan to do just that by changing things up in next week’s episode — and HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE scoop on his song choice!
He may be a country artist, but Sundance Head isn’t sticking to just one genre on The Voice! To prove he’s a well-rounded singer who can pull off anything, Sundance took a huge risk by performing an Alicia Keys song, “No One” on the Nov. 21 episode, and it REALLY paid off. He was the only artist of the week to land in the Top 10 on the iTunes charts, and nabbed a coveted spot in the Top 10 as a fan-favorite.
But instead of falling back into his comfort zone, Blake Shelton’s contestant is planning on changing things up yet again for the Nov. 28 show. “I am going to sing some Gospel!” Sundance told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “I am hoping everything goes bada**.”
Sundance has certainly established himself as a risk taker on this season of The Voice: Besides just covering Alicia, he also gave a rendition of coach Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb” during the Knockout Rounds! It’s working for him, too, as he got major praise from Alicia after singing “No One.”
“I have always been a huge fan of hers and her music, so to have the opportunity to sing that song in front of her was just something I couldn’t imagine,” Sundance gushed to us after the show. “It went so well. I really wanted to put an arrangement on it that would be able to be played on the Top 40 country charts, and I also wanted to be able to dedicate it to my family.” SUCCESS — we can’t wait to see what he does next week!
HollywoodLifers, are you excited to see Sundance Head sing a gospel song? Do you think it’s the right choice for him?
