Kanye West wasn’t going down without a fight. It took two hours for friends and authorities to persuade him to go to the hospital on Nov. 21, according to a new report. This comes after police were contacted to deal with a ‘disturbance’ involving the rapper. Here’s the details!
Kanye West, 39, is still recuperating and getting rest at UCLA Medical Center after an alleged “psychotic breakdown.” Now, we’ve learned that it took two hours for friends and law enforcers to persuade the rapper to go to the hospital in the first place, according to the Los Angeles Times. Police were originally called to his trainer, Harley Pasternak‘s home around 1:20pm PST on Nov. 21 after responding to a reported “welfare check call” regarding a physical altercation. Authorities tried to convince Yeezy to seek voluntary medical attention and their sources claim he eventually agreed. He was later transported to the hospital by paramedics.
The “Famous” rapper was placed under a 5150 hold after reportedly suffering from “temporary psychosis” brought on by sleep deprivation and dehydration. Kanye first shocked fans by showing up to a Sacramento gig nearly 90 minutes late on Nov. 19, before storming off stage after a few songs. Prior to his exit, he went on a 20-minute rant, blasting Beyonce, Jay Z, Hillary Clinton, Mark Zuckerberg, the radio and MTV. Since then, he also cancelled a rescheduled Los Angeles gig at the Forum in addition to the remainder of his high-grossing Saint Pablo tour.
Luckily, the rapper has received no shortage of love from his family members and friends. “Kim Kardashian is just holding things down like Kanye did for her when she needed support. Kim is doing much better and is strong [after her robbery],” a source told E! Online. “This shall pass she believes. She’s by his side now and will stand there till everything gets better.” As fans wait for his recovery, the hashtag “PrayforKanye,” continues to trend! We hope he gets the treatment he needs and feels better very soon!
