He’s back! Vanilla Ice was sent home from ‘Dancing with the Stars’ during week four, but he returned for the finale to perform his hit song, ‘Ice Ice Baby’ — and yes, he still has the moves! Oh, and his bro, Rick Perry, joined him for the performance!
Per usual, Vanilla Ice, 49, turned on his charm during his Dancing with the Stars finale performance live from Los Angeles. The rapper showed off his singing and dancing skills with this performance, putting down the move alongside his DWTS partner, Witney Carson, while belting out the track. He also resurrected his bromance with fellow contestant, Rick Perry, who also danced onstage with Emma Slater. SO GOOD, you guys!
Before taking the stage, he tweeted to prove he was definitely staying positive throughout the holiday season. “Life is too short to worry, stress, or take anything too serious, including yourself,” he wrote. “Holidays = family, friends, Smiles.”
This is the first we’ve seen Vanilla Ice since he was sent home during double eviction week, following his dance with Witney on Cirque Du Soleil night. We were super bummed to see him go, but at least got to see him dance the cha-cha to his hit song in night one!
“We did ‘Ice Ice Baby’ so I’m good, I’m happy,” he told E! News at the time of the elimination. “[Witney]’s taught me a lot, she’s been a trooper. It’s been an amazing experience.” He said he won’t stop dancing since “dancing is happiness,” and referred to the experience overall as “magical and “lifetime changing.”
Now, Vanilla Ice, whose real name is Robert Matthew Van Winkle, is on the “I Love the 90s tour” with Salt-N-Pepa, Coolio, All-4-One, Biz Markie, Color Me Badd, Kool Moe Dee, Kid ‘n Play, Rob Base, Tone Loc, and Young MC.
