Look who’s back! Shannen Doherty just revealed in a super stunning Instagram photo that she’s on set for the new ‘Heathers’ reboot, set to air on TVLand. So, who’s she playing?
“Sneak peek from the #Heathers set….. jealous much?” Shannen Doherty wrote on her Instagram snap, showing her wearing the red scrunchie again, looking stunning. Of course, she played Heather Duke, a mean girl in the original film alongside Winona Ryder and Christian Slater in the 1988 film.
TVLand’s version of the show will be a dark, anthology comedy, starring Grace Cox as Veronica, James Scully as J.D., and Brandan Scannell, Melanie Field and Heather Chandler as the Heathers. So, who will Shannen plan? Right now all we know is that her character will be a “pivotal” one, according to THR.
Here’s the official description of the show:
Dating a murderous psychopath and figuring out what to wear to your best friend’s suicide are typical teen problems for Veronica Sawyer. With a pilot script order for “Heathers,” TV Land is digging into the pitch-black comedy for their first anthology series, based on the cult classic film. Set in the present day, our heroine will be dealing with a very different but equally vicious group of Heathers. The script is written by Jason Micallef (“Butter”), and Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi will executive produce for Lakeshore Entertainment.
