And we’re down to ten! After another intense results show, one more artist was sent home on ‘The Voice,’ leaving a coach down an artist as we get closer to the finals. Keep up with everything that went down in the Nov. 22 episode with our recap here!
The episode kicks off with some results, as it’s announced Sundance Head from Team Blake Shelton and We McDonald from Team Alicia Keys are moving on. Next, Blake joins his three remaining team members for a performance of “The Heart of Rock & Roll” and it’s so fun — just what we would expect from the foursome!
Host Carson Daly then reveals the next two artists for a who are safe: Miley Cyrus’ singer, Ali Caldwell, and Adam Levine’s contestant, Billy Gilman. Yay! Its Team Alicia’s turn for a performance next, as she and her two Top 11 singers take the stage with a gorgeous rendition of “People Get Ready.” Could they sound any better together?!
The next contestants moving onto the Top 10 are Team Blake’s Austin Allsup and Team Adam’s Brendan Fletcher. Congrats! The remaining artists will have to wait to hear their results, as it’s now time for Season 9 winner, Jordan Smith, to take the stage. He sings “O Holy NIght” off his holiday album Tis The Season, and we’re once again reminded of why he was named the champion of this show. SOOO good!
Next, Carson announces that Christian Cuevas from Team Alicia is safe, along with Team Blake’s Courtney Harrell and Adam’s artist Josh Gallagher. Unfortunately, that means Miley has two artists in the Bottom Two: Darby Walker and Aaron Gibson, who was in this position just last week. Now, the pair will have one last change to sing for America’s Instant Save, after which, one will be sent home.
For her last chance performance, Darby sings a beautiful rendition of “Your Song,” doing exactly what she does best with her unique and soft voice. Meanwhile, Aaron performs “Budapest” in hopes of gaining the last minute Twitter votes from America, and he makes it a tough choice for the voters. Only one can stick around, though, and this week its….Aaron (again)!
That leaves Miley and Alicia with two artists each and Blake and Adam with three in the Top 10. The artists will perform again for a spot in the Top 9 on Nov. 28!
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of tonight’s elimination? Who are you rooting for to win Season 11?
