Only 11 artists are left on Season 11 of ‘The Voice,’ and on the Nov. 21 episode, they’re singing for America’s votes once again, this time, with hopes of moving onto the Top 10! Catch up on all the night’s performances with our recap right here!
Ali Caldwell from Miley Cyrus’ team is the first to perform, and Miley puts a lot of trust in her by giving her her own godmother, Dolly Parton’s, song “9 To 5” to sing. She may not be a country artist, but Ali totally puts a unique spin on the track and shows a whole different side of herself in the best way!
And as if that song choice wasn’t shocking enough, Blake Shelton takes things a step further by making a majorly unlikely pick for his old school country artist, Sundance Head. Yep, Sundance is singing fellow coach, Alicia Keys’, hit “No One,” and although it seems like a weird pairing, it really works!
Another artist from Team Miley, Aaron Gibson, is next to perform, and after landing in the Bottom 2 and having to be instantly saved last week, he has a LOT to prove. He and Miley work hard on his rendition of “Hurt” by Nine Inch Nails, hoping to show off Aaron’s softer side and ability to have big moments in a song. It proves to be the right choice, as Aaron completely nails it when he takes that stage!
Blake Shelton’s contestant, Courtney Harrell, is up next. Courtney is singing a ballad from A Chorus Line, giving her the opportunity to show off her powerhouse vocals, which is exactly what she does — flawlessly.
Josh Gallagher from Team Adam Levine is next, and he decides to bring some fun to his performance by singing Brett Eldredge’s “Drunk On Your Love.” With this song, Josh proves he can fit right in with today’s country music artists, and the crowd is totally entranced by his upbeat show.
Season 11 frontrunner, Billy Gilman, who’s also on Team Adam, prepares his version of “All I Ask” by Adele. It’s obviously not easy for anyone to hit notes like Adele, but Billy pulls it off, and shows off his emotional, stripped down side for the first time. All in all , it’s totally epic.
With only two singers left compared to the other coaches’ three, Alicia has a lot riding on Christian Cuevas’ performance of “Rosanna.” Christian actually proposed to his girlfriend after last week’s show, so he’s happier and more energetic than ever, which is perfect for this upbeat song. It’s something we haven’t seen from Christian yet, and we’re lovin’ it!
Team Blake’s Austin Allsup is up next, and he takes on a classic by singing “Turn The Page.” Austin can relate to the song about life on the road on a personal level, and he uses that connection to really take his performance to the next level. So good!
Next up is Darby Walker from Miley’s team, and the gals prove to once again be two of a kind as they prepare for her performance of “You Don’t Own Me.” She shows off a powerful side of her voice on the song, with a huge moment that really stands out as she rocks the stage.
Brendan Fletcher from Team Adam is next to perform, and after his HUGE show last week, he has a lot to live up to. This week, he takes on Bruce Springsteen, and it’s absolutely the perfect choice for the natural rocker. We cannot get enough of those sexy vocals!
Closing out the night is Alicia’s artist, We McDonald, who has consistently wowed America with her voice that’s SO different from what you’d expect after hearing her talk. When she sings “Love On The Brain” this week, it’s no different, and an absolute epic way to end the show — especially with that final note.
One of these talented singers will be voted off in the Nov. 22 results show, so make sure you’re getting your votes in for your faves while you still can!
