Emma Stone with the moves! The actress visited ‘The Ellen DeGeneres show’, Nov. 21, where she played ‘Last Dance’ for the first time ever! Emma performed a series of different dances, and it was epic! She channeled Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’, and it was the BEST rendition we’ve EVER seen! Watch it here!
So, is Emma Stone, 28, one of Beyonce‘s, 35, backup dancers and we just didn’t know about it? The actress appeared on ‘Ellen‘, 58, Nov. 21, and she got her groove on when the host introduced a new game, “Last Dance“. It was an even playing field for Emma and Ellen, because it was the first time both stars were played the game.
The game was simple: Both Emma and Ellen had to perform different, consecutive dance moves. Ellen said it was “kind of like a hot potato with dancing.” Whichever dance popped up on the screen behind each person — including, “Single Ladies”, “Twerking”, “Whip/Nae Nae”, and more — they had to do the dance. When you heard the “ding,” then it was the other person’s turn and you had to freeze in whatever position you were in, until it went back to you. When the music stopped, if you were the last person dancing, you lost. Check out Emma’s INSANE rendition of Beyonce! Move over Queen B!
WOW! How good is Emma?! She totally nailed just about every dance, but maybe not the “Spinkler”. LOL. However, that wasn’t exactly her fault, due to the misspelling on the screen. It was definitely a tight game, but we’re thinking that Emma took home the win on this one! Ellen was fabulous as always, though. Leave it to the host to create the most entertaining game ever!
Emma was visiting the hilarious show because she was promoting her new movie, La La Land, where she stars alongside Ryan Gosling, 36. By the way, this is her third film with the hunky actor! John Legend, 37, and J.K. Simmons, 61, are also in the movie. In the film Emma plays an aspiring actress [Mia] and Ryan plays a dedicated jazz musician [Sebastian], who are struggling to make ends meet in a city known for “crushing hopes and breaking hearts,” per the movie’s official website. The original musical is set in modern day LA and goes through the joy, trials and tribulations of following your dreams. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters Dec. 9, and a lot of hard work went into the film. “We practiced a lot, there was a lot of rehearsal,” Emma admitted to Ellen. Rumors are swirling that the actress is slated to win an Oscar for her role in La La Land. We’ll just have to wait and see!
