Steve Smith, 37, is definitely on his way to the Pro Football Hall of Fame after his epic achievement on Nov. 20. The Baltimore Ravens star recorded the 1,000th reception of his career with a 22-yard catch during the third quarter of the Ravens game where they lost 27-17. Ya, they lost. But COME ON. Steve made NFL history becoming the 14th player to ever reach 1,000 catches. We’re sure the team is happy enough for the receiver that the loss is a little easier to swallow.

He now ties with former Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward for 13th place on the list of most catches. And if he can nab just 24 more catches in his career he’ll end up tying with Isaac Bruce in the No. 12 slot. So you know that Steve is gonna be busy as can be during the remainder of his career to try and make it as high up the list as possible. Who knows how long he’ll be playing now!
Steve has spent most of his 13 year long career with the Carolina Panthers, but moved to the Baltimore Ravens in 2014. And it was with the Ravens that he racked up 161 of his 1,000 catches, along with 2,152 yards and 11 touchdowns, all in 30 games. We think it’s really amazing that he’s been able to make it on to a list of elite players that have all achieved this crazy cool stat in the long history of the NFL. So, 1,000 catches for you Steve Smith! You go Steve Smith!
HollywoodLifers, are you proud of Steve? Ya? Well then leave your congratulations for the Baltimore Ravens star below!
