Now that is how you put on a show. After being introduced by her ‘American Horror Story’ co-star, Matt Bomer, Gaga absolutely stole the show at the American Music Awards, performing her new hit ‘Million Reasons.’
“Working with this woman, I got to see how passionate she is about the things that really matter,” Matt Bomer said before introducing Lady Gaga. The singer took the stage in an all black, leather ensemble, much different from her head-to-toe white outfit by Brandon Maxwell she rocked on the carpet. With her guitar in hand, Gaga absolutely nailed her performance, sounding so amazing. (Did anyone else feel some similarities between that set up with One Direction’s 2014 performance?)
Regardless, we’re so happy to see that Gaga looks and feels okay! She just revealed on Instagram she hasn’t been feeling well. “Having a frustrating day with chronic pain, but I find myself feeling so blessed to have such strong intelligent female doctors,” she wrote on Instagram. “I think about Joanne too and her strength and the day gets a little easier.” Well, she looked and sounded amazing on stage!
Of course, “Million Reasons” is from Gaga’s new album, Joanne, which of course is already a huge hit.
“I wrote this song for women all over the world,” the singer told Howard Stern in an interview in New York recently, saying she was envisioning another woman when writing the song before realizing it was actually a situation she could relate to. “I wrote to her, and I wrote to her, and I wrote to her, and then I was like, ‘F-ck, that’s me.’ I’m a woman and I go through the same things that other women go through.”
However, it was also for the men that were listening, “because I thought maybe if the guy could hear from us, how we feel, maybe he would understand a little bit more how deep it goes, how much we really love you, and how much we really need that love in return to be protected.”
