1. He’s willing to give Donald Trump a chance.
While most celebrities are dreading the next four years under Donald Trump, Vince Neil, 55, is taking a positive stance towards his presidency! “The promoters asked if I was available, and I said yes,” he revealed to Billboard addressing the presidential inauguration on Jan. 20.
2. Vince didn’t know what he signed up for.
When Vince agreed to perform at the inauguration “months ago,” he didn’t know who would be elected! Since Vince and the members of his band didn’t back out upon hearing of Donald’s win, it sounds like they’re just ready to have a good time no matter who’s in office!
3. He’s a rock ‘n’ roll legend!
Don’t get your hopes up, Motley Crue will NOT be performing on that night. Vince will instead be joined by a band of his own. The musician, who befriended other bandmate Tommy Lee in high school, joined Motley Crue in 1980 and parted ways with them in 1992 to focus on a solo career.
4. Was Vince at the 3rd presidential debate?!
When a look-a-like guest appeared on stage with Donald at the third debate, Twitter went NUTS over whether or not the REAL Vince was there. Even Vince’s mom was convinced he met the President-Elect. “My mom called me, and said, ‘I saw you shaking Donald Trump’s hand!’ [But] I wasn’t there,” he joked to Billboard.
5. He’s expanding his empire.
The last time Vince released a solo album was with Tattoos & Tequila in 2010 — but he’s been working on other stuff! The former heavy metal frontman was later named Chairman of the RockStar Investment Group, and acquired ownership Jacksonville Sharks indoor football team in 2014.
UPDATE: Vince will NOT perform at the inauguration. He’s reportedly been “uninvited,” according to TMZ.
