We can’t imagine watching ‘Quantico’ without Priyanka Chopra, but it almost wasn’t meant to be! She said she originally wanted to be an engineer — find out how she changed her own destiny below!
Luxury skincare brand SK-II honored Priyanka Chopra at the launch party for their #ChangeDestiny campaign in New York City on November 17.
I was there and met Priyanka! On stage, she addressed the crowd saying that both of her parents are doctors, and she was originally going to become an engineer! Obviously, she changed her destiny into becoming a world famous actress and now, she has a hit show and 52 movies under her belt!
She told us:
“So many people tell you, you shouldn’t be a certain way or you shouldn’t behave a certain way. Particularly women. We have been told for eons we need to respect our boundaries or we need to speak a certain way. When you turn around and look at yourself in the mirror every morning and you say, who is the best version of me I can be? What do I want to do? Do I want to travel to space? Do I want to make a dress? Do I want to design shoes?
Whatever your dream is, whatever your choice is, that is your destiny if you are willing to work hard. I congratulate SK-II tremendously for their Change Destiny campaign because that is the true essence of taking our future, our future generation forward, and making them believe dreams don’t have to necessarily be dreams, they can become reality if you decide to take your destiny in your own hands. So congratulations, thanks for giving the world such an amazing product, [I] am a fan!”
SK-II launched their Limited Edition Holiday Collection of Facial Treatment Essences at the party.
Priyanka also told HollywoodLife.com: “I have always believed that when a woman is empowered, she can change destinies…not just for herself, but for her family and the community at large…and when empowered women come together, there is no hurdle that can stand in our way. Well done SK–II, for creating the Change Destiny campaign, and dedicating your voice and resources to encourage and empower women to challenge expectations and pursue their dreams.”
