Kanye West pulled a Kanye and gave a lengthy rant about the election at his concert — and fans were pissed. To retaliate, they threw things at the stage, booed the rapper and went OFF on Twitter. Check it out here!
Oh, Kanye! The 39-year-old did the usual and stopped his musical set on his Saint Pablo Tour stop in San Jose on Nov. 17 to rant for nearly 30 minutes about the presidential elections. As we previously reported, not only did Ye reveal that he didn’t cast a ballot, but he said if he had, he would have voted for — wait for it — Donald Trump, 70! Shut. Up!
“I told y’all I didn’t vote, right,” Kanye said, engaging with his sold out crowd. “What I didn’t tell you…if I were to have voted I would have voted on Trump.” As soon as he uttered the president-elect’s name, the crowd erupted in an echoing ‘BOO!’ This deserves one, giant face palm!
Some members of the crowd who were close to the pit where Kanye was standing, began throwing random items at him. But the “Famous” rapper still didn’t back down; instead, he welcomed the criticism! “Oh, sh*t you threw something at me. Does anybody else want to throw something at me?” he asked. “You know what I got the power to get that guy kicked out, roughed up. But no, stay here! What do you believe? That’s your opinion. Express your opinion bro.”
The crowd continued to boo, and some people closer to the camera could be heard saying that they wanted the “old Kanye” back. In addition to endorsing Trump, Kim Kardashian’s, 35, husband also addressed the topic of racism in America, saying that everyone needed to just stop talking about it. “Specifically to black people, stop focusing on racism,” he demanded. “This world is racist OK….It’s just a f*cking fact. We are a racist country.”

I can't say I'm fully surprised by Kanye, but I'm still hurt. His music has done so much for me but I don't know who this new Kanye West is.

"I would've voted for Trump" – Kanye West.
Kanye, if you thought Bush didn't care about black people, boy howdy, do I have news for you.

Fans also took to Twitter to blast the rapper for delaying the show. “I want my money back,” one fan tweeted on Nov. 18. “This is why Beyonce don’t let Blue come over,” another person added. Someone even set fire to their Yeezy sneakers, tweeting, “can’t support a man who supports a racist like Trump.” Yikes!
Kanye’s unfortunate rant comes just days after fans rallied behind him as a potential candidate in the 2020 presidential elections. The rapper previously announced that he would be running for president at the 2015 MTV VMAs, and even confirmed he’s still considering it during his concert rant. With that being said, we really wonder if Kanye’s new political stance is bringing tension to his family situation, since Kris Jenner, 61, announced that the whole Kardashian-Jenner family, including Kim, is with Hillary Clinton, 70. SO awkward!
HollywoodLifers, do you think fans have a right to be upset at Kanye about this rant?
