Donald Trump loves that Kanye West is a fan! Following Ye’s speech on Nov. 17 where he endorsed Trump, video has surfaced of the President-elect responding to the rapper’s famous MTV VMAs promise to run for President in 2020. Trump said he feels nothing but goodwill toward the rapper — unless he makes good on that decision, of course. WATCH!
“Kanye West — you know what? I’ll never say bad about him,” Donald Trump, 70, said at a campaign rally in 2015 when asked about Ye’s wild rant. “You know why? Because he loves Trump. He loves Trump. He goes around saying, ‘Trump is my all-time hero’. He says it to everybody. So, Kanye West — I love him,” Trump added. “Now, maybe in a few years I’ll have to run again, so I’ll take that back. But he’s been so nice to me. Kanye West has been so great. I would never say bad about him because he says such nice things about me.”
Well, we hope they’re very happy together.
As we previously told you, the normally anti-political rapper shocked everyone when he announced during his concert on Nov. 17 that while he didn’t vote in the 2016 election, if he had, he would have voted for Trump. Yikes!
Fans angrily took to Twitter to bash Yeezy, calling him out for supporting a man who condones racism. “I paid $40 to listen to a trump supporter rant for 3 hours n play 4 songs,” one furious concertgoer tweeted. “I can’t say I’m fully surprised by Kanye, but I’m still hurt. His music has done so much for me but I don’t know who this new Kanye West is,” another wrote. Life is full of disappointments, eh?
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Trump’s comments about Kanye, and vice versa? Let us know.
