Is this really happening?! Selena Gomez might make an appearance at the 2016 American Music Awards, and on top of that, we hear that she wants to perform. Could this be Sel’s epic comeback? Here’s the latest!
Selena Gomez, 24, has been taking time off for the sake of her health, but she may attend the American Music Awards on Nov. 20, the show’s producer Larry Klein tells E! News. That would be so amazing!
Oh, and that’s not all. As a source previously told HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “Selena is hoping to make her big comeback at the American Music Awards. She is feeling stronger than ever and really wants to perform. The final decision will come down to her medical team, and if they feel this is the healthiest choice for her.” Well, it sounds like she’s received the A-OK!
Selena has been flying under the radar while in rehab for the past few months. “As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,” she told People at the time. “I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges.” We’re so glad that Selena is feeling rested enough to get back in the spotlight — we’ve definitely missed the songstress on our TV screens!
At least there won’t be any awkward run-ins with Justin Bieber — while he will also technically be performing at the show, his appearance will be telecast from Europe, where he’s currently touring. Phew!
