Hello, gorgeous! 74-year-old Barbra Streisand is literally #goals on the cover of W magazine, where she shows off her amazingly sexy long legs and perfect figure! See the gorgeous pics!
Barbra Streisand, 74, is sizzling hot on the cover of W, channeling Risky Business in a white men’s button-down and tie. Her long legs go on for days and she is seriously glowing. The photos leave us all wondering… How does she do it?! In other shots, Babs stuns in thigh-high Jimmy Choo’s and proves to us all that she’s definitely still got it!
Her hubs, James Brolin, definitely thinks so! In the W interview, Babs reveals the two met on a blind date, because most men were intimidated by her. “I met him at a dinner and expected a bearded mountain-man type, and he had cut off all his hair and was clean-shaven. I asked him, ‘Who screwed up your hair?’ He later told me that’s when he fell in love with me. My fella likes to hear the truth, which is unusual.” Aww!
And what is not to love?! Throughout her long, successful career, Barbra has become a fashion icon to women of all ages. From that stunning, transparent jumpsuit at the 1969 Oscars to her hippie, turban look at the The Way We Were premiere in ’73, the Funny Girl actress has been a trendsetter for years with many iconic outfits.
In the article, Barbra addresses that sheer black jumpsuit and her choice to go for the bold for her first Academy Award win. “That night, in my dressing room, I was choosing between two different outfits. One was lovely, but very conservative. And then there was the pantsuit with plastic sequins. ‘I had no idea that when the lights hit that outfit, it would become transparent!” she said. “I wanted a white collar and cuffs, which it had, and I wore my hair under my chin, because I thought to myself, ‘I’m going to win two Oscars in my lifetime, and I’ll be more conservative next time.'”
Babs was certainly right about those two Oscars, and the next time she took the Oscars stage in 1977, she wore a ‘more conservative look,’ — that iconic, high-neck, burnt orange dress.
In this spread, she shows off the modern Barbra — confident, feminine, strong. She has a track-record of playing strong women in her movie roles, but the word “strong” has taken on another meaning to Barb in recent years, since Hillary Clinton‘s rise to the forefront of politics. “Strong women are, simply, women with opinions. And they have always been treated with suspicion. Look at Hillary Clinton,” she said.
We feel so lucky to have a strong woman like Barbra Streisand in our lifetime to model after. We can only hope that we look THAT good when we’re 74!
