Who though we’d ever see this day? Tom Brady actually joked about the ‘Deflategate’ scandal in a brand new Foot Locker ad. While arguing against ‘punishing’ greatness, Tom loses his cool, especially when it comes to his four-game ‘vacation.’ It’s pretty hilarious so click to watch!
“That’s an unfortunate mindset you got there,” Tom, 39, says after he overhears a couple of sports bros talk about how suspicious it is that Foot Locker’s “Week Of Greatness” continues to be an awesome sale every year. “Just because something is great, year after year, doesn’t mean anything’s going on. Why can’t something just be ‘great?'”
Uhh, someone hit a nerve. The New England Patriots quarterback doesn’t stop there. “It starts with questions, and then questions turn into assumptions and assumptions turn into ‘vacations.’” Ha! That was a not-so-subtle jab at the 4-week “vacation” that the NFL sent Tom on when they suspended him for his alleged role in the “Deflate Gate” controversy.
“Why would you punish ‘The Week Of Greatness’ for something that never even happened,” he shouts. Tom? We’re still talking about Foot Locker’s week of sales, right? It doesn’t seem so, as Tom concludes his rant by getting up from his seat and walking out. “I’ve lost my appetite,” he says, storming out of the restaurant. Ha! Funny.
Tom might feel like he can actually mock his role in the scandal since he’s served his four-game suspension – and has come back to lead the Patriots to a 7-2 record. Plus, his “vacation” was pretty sweet, as he went to Italy with his wife, Gisele Bundchen, 36. He even got naked while sunbathing – no “deflated balls” jokes, please.
Perhaps, just to be safe, no one should say the “D word” around Tom for the rest of the season. The last thing anyone wants him to do is flip out and stick his foot in his mouth. That’s why Gisele has forbidden Tom from talking politics. After Donald Trump, 70, claimed that the Pats quarterback voted for him in the 2016 Election, the supermodel forbade her hubby from talking Trump.
What do you think about Tom’s commercial, HollywoodLifers? Do you think it’s right of him to make fun of the cheating scandal? Or do you think that since he served his punishment, everything is fair game?
