After Jake Harris suffered a cracked skull during a savage robbery, police have arrested the alleged attackers of the ‘Deadliest Catch’ star. Officials tell HollywoodLife.com that they have two suspects in custody, claiming they befriended Jake before allegedly throwing him out of a moving car!
“I can confirm that two people have been arrested on ‘probable cause’ in connection with this incident. They are Jorel Fultz and Amanda Crandall,” Police Spokesman Aaron Snell tells HollywoodLife.com. “It is not known yet if they gave themselves-up or if detectives in Spokane tracked them down.”
“It appears they befriended Jake Harris at the casino the day before the robbery took place,” the police official continues. “They reportedly won over his confidence before targeting him the following day after some bragging took place over winnings that were made.” Jake’s brother, Josh Harris, would backup these claims, identifying Amanda and Jorel in a Facebook post. The Deadliest Catch star also helped identify his assailants from his hospital bed.
“They were arrested in Spokane, Washington, and our detectives will now take custody of them,” Aaron tells HollywoodLife.com. “They will be returned to Everett and booked into Snohomish County Jail. The case remains under investigation and it is our understanding that Jake Harris has now left hospital and is back with his family recovering at home.”
Phew! At least Jake can feel some relief that the police caught the two people allegedly behind this brutal assault. Jake was leaving the Quil Ceda Creek Casino on Nov. 12 when he got into a car with multiple people. While heading down Highway 526 in south Everett, a fight reportedly broke out. During the attack, Jake was thrown from the moving vehicle.
Jake survived and didn’t want to go to the hospital but his family forced him to seek medical attention. Thank goodness he did, as doctors discovered he had a broken skull! That may have saved his life.
Jake and his brother are stars of Deadliest Catch, just like their late father, Phil Harris. The captain of the Cornelia passed away in 2013 after suffering a heart attack. Following his death, Jake and Josh have been overlooking the ship and their family’s legacy. Thankfully, Jake has survived his attack and hopefully, his alleged attackers will be brought to justice!
Our thoughts go out to Jake as he continues to recover, HollywoodLifers. In the meantime, are you glad that the police have the suspects in custody?
