The DJ who Taylor Swift accused of sexually assaulting her at a 2013 concert isn’t sweating it over the lawsuit — even after the sealed photo of him allegedly grabbing her butt leaked online over the weekend. In fact, he actually thinks the picture proof will HELP him in court!
Despite Taylor Swift’s wishes that the picture of DJ David Mueller allegedly reaching up her skirt to grab her butt remain sealed in court documents, it leaked online on Nov. 12…but David’s still confident in his case against the singer. “[It] doesn’t prove a thing other than he didn’t have his hand underneath her skirt,” the Denver DJ’s lawyer tells TMZ.
In her deposition, Tay claimed that David “took his hand and put it up my dress and grabbed onto my a** cheek and no matter how much I scooted over it was still there. It was completely intentional. I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life. I remember being frantic, distressed, feeling violated in a way that I never experienced before.” However, according to David, he simply leaned in for the picture at the last minute, which explains the awkward hand placement.
After Taylor’s accusations that David grabbed her inappropriately in 2013, he was fired from his job, and sued the singer two years later, blaming her for the career blow and asking for lost wages of more than $150,000. However, she counter-filed in October of that year, sticking firm to her story, and the two have been in a legal battle ever since.
When the 26-year-old first made her allegations against David and asked him to leave the premise of her show, his legal team described the claims as “nonsense,” and now, they’re clearly still confident in their case!
