Steve Bannon: Voters Furious Over Donald Trump’s Pick For Chief Strategist

As if Donald Trump getting being elected president wasn’t shocking enough, Trump has now selected Breitbart CEO Steve Bannon to be his Chief Strategist. Steve has been widely accused of being a white nationalist and an anti-Semite, and many voters are livid at the choice. Click through to see their shocked responses to the announcement.

Steve Bannon, 62, left his job as the CEO of the controversial, incendiary website Breitbart News to become Donald Trump‘s campaign CEO in August. Trump apparently trusted his guidance during the last leg of election season so much, that he named him his  “chief strategist and senior counselor” at the White House. It’s a harrowing announcement for many, considering the often anti-Semitic, sexist and homophobic posts on Breitbart under Steve’s leadership, and its close ties to the Alt-Right.

Needless to say, people are upset with the appointment, and are posting about Steve’s access to the West Wing like crazy:

The prospect of seeing Steve become a top White House advisor is so terrifying that the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has released a statement thoroughly condemning the president-elect for his decision:

“The ADL strongly opposes the appointment of Steve Bannon as senior advisor and chief strategist in the White House,” ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt wrote. “It is a sad day when a man who presided over the premier website of the ‘alt-right’ — a loose-knit group of white nationalists and unabashed anti-Semites and racists — is slated to be a senior staff member in the ‘people’s house.’ We call on President-elect Trump to appoint and nominate Americans committed to the well-being of all our country’s people and who exemplify the values of pluralism and tolerance that make our country great.”
