Bernie Sanders called out Donald Trump again during his November 14 appearance on ‘The View’ baffled that the president-elect still doesn’t believe in climate change. Bernie’s message was clear: kids want a better world, and climate change is NOT a hoax!
Vermont senator Bernie Sanders, 75, stopped by The View on November 14 to discuss the results of the presidential election, and what he hopes and fears about a Trump presidency. While he’s willing to work with the president-elect, 70, he shot down Donald Trump‘s abhorrent “racist, sexist, xenophobic, and anti-environment” viewpoints.
Bernie has spoken out about Trump’s strange views on climate change many times throughout the presidential election. Namely, Trump doesn’t believe that climate change is a real phenomenon. At all. Trump is of the mindset that everything is just fine, which is beyond baffling, and Bernie is urging the president-elect to wake up and figure out how wrong he is! He told the ladies on The View that above all, climate change is not a “hoax,” as Trump once said, and that young people are desperate for the planet to remain habitable — for their children, their grandchildren, and their great-great-great-great-grandchildren, before it’s too late!
Bernie reiterated that sentiment in an interview on Face the Nation the day prior. “What astounds me, and I hope this changes very quickly, is we now have a president-elect who actually does not believe that climate change is real,” Bernie said in the November 13 interview. “I worry very much about what this means. I worry very much about what this means for our kids and our grandchildren and the future of this planet. Millions of people are going to have to tell him, ‘Mr. Trump: You are dead wrong,’ and we are going to have to transform our energy system.”
